A new set of resources promoting healthy weights for children 2-5 years old is available for download at ChildhoodObesityFoundation.ca. The resources are available in English, French, Spanish, Chinese and Punjabi. Here are some examples:

• Children need active play every day
• Healthy eating and good nutrition help children grow and be strong
• Developing a healthy relationship with food is just as important as eating healthy food
• Answer the following set of questions to find out if you are doing everything that you can to promote a healthy weight for your toddler or preschooler
    

Funding Opportunity from the United Way

The United Way of the Central and South Okanagan Similkameen has now opened their Community Fund application cycle for the 2015-2016 year. Applications for funding of core operations and programs are available to any registered charities that are making an impact in the following areas:
