Workers Are Few!

Did you know that...
* Pre-seminary enrollment at MLC is at its lowest since 1959?
* Over 30 requests for MLC teacher candidates were unable to be filled?
* The MLC Strategic Plan calls for a full-time undergraduate enrollment of 800? The estimated enrollment this fall is 740.
* Among other publications, MLC produces a recruitment magazine called Knightwatch, designed specifically for high school students?
Please pray for more to gladly say "Here am I." Encourage gifted young people in your life to consider MLC. Contact our Admissions office with names of prospective students who are not receiving Knightwatch.

Homecoming Is Coming

An early September 26-28 date means it's time to start making your plans to attend the annual Homecoming Weekend festivities here on the hill. In addition to soccer and football games, you'll want to take in Friday's Talent Show, join in Saturday morning's Sprinter Campus Fun Run, register at the alumni reception table for discounts and great giveaways, catch up with friends at Saturday night's Alumni Social, and conclude your weekend with Sunday morning worship in the Chapel of the Christ. Click here to view the entire schedule.

Volunteers Needed

MLC and WELS Kingdom Workers/Builders for Christ are partnering to finish a portion of the Chapel of the Christ basement. Thanks to our faithful volunteers, the first of six weeks is underway with great progress being made. Additional volunteers are still needed for the weeks of June 30-July 3, July 7-11, and July 14-18. If your heart enjoys giving with your hands, please click here to learn more and let us know how and when you may be able to help.

Alumni Sweatshirt Sale

For a limited time (until July 31), DMLC, MLC, and NWC alumni sweatshirts are available for purchase at a specially discounted pre-order price. The 80/20 crew sweatshirts feature a full front screen print of the school name, seal, and an alumni oval set against a Light Gray (DMLC), Dark Gray (MLC), or Red (NWC) garment. Sizes range from Adult S-3XL. Click here for more information or to download and print an order form.

Please Share Your Shots

The MLC alumni volunteer archives team works hard to collect and classify photos pertaining to campus life past and present. We are looking for photos that you took, fun or formal, showing students in an NWC or D/MLC dorm setting. We will gladly accept digital or print copies as long as you are willing to let them remain in our collection and be shared publicly. An MLC prize pack will be sent to what is deemed the best photo received. Another prize pack winner will be drawn from all other entries submitted by the August 31 deadline. Pull out your scrapbooks, dig through your digitals, and click here to learn how to share your shots.

If You're Happy and You Know It, Tell Facebook
The MLC Facebook page serves as an excellent (and inexpensive) tool to help share the MLC story - how the Lord is blessing the church through your alma mater. With over 5000 followers, the page reaches a large audience of prospective students as well. If you are a Facebook user, please consider posting a review/testimonial of what MLC means to you. This can serve as an encouragement for those young people who are considering MLC as their college and ministry as their calling. Click here, then click "Write a Review."
