The 18th Annual Auxiliary Meeting followed a format that received popular feedback last year. The business meeting was kept to a minimum, and more emphasis was placed on items of greatest interest. MLC President Mark Zarling updated the audience on news from the campus, including our Let the Children Come campaign to fund a new Early Childhood Learning Center. Students entertained the group throughout the day with music and a sneak peak at the upcoming musical. Workshops informed the participants on timely topics, and worship framed the day with an opening and closing based on the theme "Honor Prophecy." View photos of the event on our MLC Photo Gallery

Auxiliary Adopts Ambitious Project List Janine Enter

Word about the generosity of MLC Ladies' Auxiliary has gotten around campus! A record number of submissions from 11 different divisions were brought before the group for consideration. The participants learned about the needs of the submitting groups and voted for the projects they felt most strongly about funding. On the final report, 16 projects were prioritized, totaling over $22,000. Auxiliary President Janine Enter (pictured) commented on the project list. "This is an ambitious project list for the Auxiliary, and it offers many more opportunities for us to support the dedicated students of MLC. I pray that many groups, individuals, and congregations across the WELS will seriously consider how they can partner with us to fill all these requests." Spring Meetings Bring MLC to You Tingting Zahn

Plans are already underway for MLC Auxiliary area spring meetings in March and April. In congregations across Minnesota, news from your WELS College of Ministry will be presented, along with updates on Auxiliary projects and additional ways congregations can support ministerial education. Along with these updates, Tingting Zhang (pictured), our Mandarin instructor, will be sharing her story about life in China and our new Mandarin program. Tingting presented at our annual meeting, and many hoped that others could also hear her touching account. If you live outside Minnesota and would like to organize an Auxiliary meeting at your congregation, contact us at the email address listed on this e-note.  Find the Auxiliary spring meeting in your area.
