Annual Projects Approach Full Funding

Even though the Ladies' Auxiliary project list totals over $17,000, full funding of all the projects might be a reality this year. Every year, the MLC Auxiliary is committed to funding three standing projects: scholarships - $3,000, library materials - $1,250, and outreach projects - $2,500. The other projects are chosen at the Annual Fall Meeting. If you would like to help us reach our goal, send a check to MLC Ladies' Auxiliary, 1995 Luther Court, New Ulm MN 56073. Spring Meetings are Popular

Over 200 women from across Minnesota gathered this spring at various churches and schools to learn more about MLC and the Ladies' Auxiliary. A 30-minute video was included this year to add more variety to the meeting. Through that video, attendees heard information from President Mark Zarling, Early Childhood Lead Teacher Jennifer Mehlberg, Auxiliary scholarship recipient Rachel Brokmeier, and women's basketball team co-captains Erica Babinec and Emily Boldt. Wonderful fellowship was enjoyed by all, and almost $4,000 was collected for Auxiliary projects. View a tentative schedule for next year's spring meetings. |

The Ladies' Auxiliary Board, comprised of officers and area representatives, meets three times a year to set the direction of the Auxiliary and plan for upcoming events. At their May meeting the Board had a productive brainstorming session to develop new ways to promote MLC and the work of the Auxiliary. They also looked for ways to improve Auxiliary-sponsored activities, including the hospitality tent at Freshman Orientation, the Annual Fall Meeting (scheduled for Saturday, October 27), and Bingo Night.
