Walk the Walks

Enjoy Our Bay and Make the World a Better Place

Save These Dates

Saturday, Nov 14, 2015 - San Mateo shoreline, 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Join us on a 3 - 5 mile walk along the fascinating San Mateo shoreline between Coyote Point and the San Mateo Bridge. Discover natural and man-made surprises. Watch the birds, feel the breezes, smell the fennel and converse with fellow hikers.
We'll collect a donation for Save the Children from participants. Save the Children provides emergency services for migrant and refugee children worldwide.
Starting point and directions will be available in early October.

Saturday, March 19, 2016 - Mt. Diablo, 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Join us on this 3 - 5 mile hike on the top of our famous landmark, Mt.Diablo. With luck, winter rains will have cleared our skies and will afford optimal views of the entire Bay Area from atop Mt. Diablo. This will be an opportunity to enjoy nature and conversation on an exhilarating walk.
We'll collect a donation for Room To Read from participants. Room to Read's mission is to bring literacy to all children and to help every girl get an education. They have also launched an initiative to rebuild schools that collapsed as a result of the earthquake in Nepal.
Starting point and directions will be available.

Saturday, May 21, 2016 - Angel Island, 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Share with us this opportunity to view the bay from this unique setting. Enjoy the tranquility of Angel Island, feel the change in climates from one side of the island to another, and once again view nature and humans share the environment.
We'll collect a donation for Nepal Youth Foundation from participants. Under Olga Murray's leadership, Nepal Youth Foundation is providing critical support to Nepal's earthquake recovery efforts. The earthquake crisis has passed but the recovery continues.
Starting point and directions will be available.

This is a hiking and social opportunity for folks of all ages and abilities.  Come on your own, bring your family, bring your friends, bring water and lunch, and BRING A DONATION for children worldwide!

For our many members outside the SF bay area, come and visit!
But if you can't join us for the walk, please still consider making a donation.
