The first day of spring! What a wonderful day to start something new!
That's why today we are beginning the #LinkedGivingChallenge.
If you haven't already, this is your chance to begin linked giving and to challenge all your friends to do the same thing. Here's how.
- Make a Linked gift to one of our recommended charities by clicking here.
- Go to our Facebook page where you will find the graphic below, share it on your own page, and encourage your friends to do the same.
Just to remind you, linked giving is giving to a child in need when you give to your grandchild, or someone you love. It's the core idea of Global Grandmothers - but you don't need to be a grandmother to practice linked giving! The world's children need every one of us as linked givers - for birthdays, for anniversaries, for holidays.
2015 is THE year to get on board the global citizen wagon with linked giving. The United Nations is reporting on the 2000 millennial goals (MDGs) this year, and getting ready to develop goals for the next 15 years. By 2030 the world will change, especially for the poor.
"The lives of people in poor countries will improve faster in the next 15 years than at any other time in history. And their lives will improve more than anyone else's."
Bill and Melinda Gates, 2015 Annual Letter

One way this is going to happen, according to the Gates Letter, is by "informed passionate individuals working together to form effective movements for change. People who care about helping those in the world's poorest places."
We believe Global Grandmothers and its linked giving is one such movement.
You can join this global movement to erase extreme poverty and raise the living standard for everyone by becoming a linked giver. Click here to go to our Facebook page and take the challenge. Then start regular linked giving by clicking the button below.
