March 8, 2013                  Greetings!   Welcome to March 8th - International Women's Day!  Today is the day we celebrate ourselves and all the great women who have made the world a better place!
Congress recently stood with those women when it voted on February 28th to reauthorize anti-trafficking legislation as part of the Violence Against Women Act -  finally!
Polaris Project, a GG recommended charity, is a leading organization in the fight against human trafficking and modern-day slavery, an industry that involves more than 100,000 children in the US and millions worldwide.  It promotes legislation and provides practical help, including a 24 hour hotline.  Any day, any time, any one may call  -- and ask for help, get information,  or report possible trafficking. Stand with the suffragettes.  Consider donating to Polaris Project.  Make a difference in many young women's lives, and honor the women who have made a difference in yours.
