CJ brings grandma a rose.
  Isn't love grand?

Greetings!

Here's a rose for Shirley, our board member, - special delivery for Valentine's Day!

Is there anything more fun than sharing a moment like this with your grandchild?

And don't you wish for him or her the brightest of futures - one with great joy, little pain, and many options?

Nurse-Family Partnership, one of GG's recommended charities, helps makes this happen, starting with toddlers.

New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof recently praised this special organization:

... some of the most cost-effective antipoverty programs are aimed at the earliest years.  For example, the Nurse-Family Partnership has a home-visitation program that encourages new parents of at-risk children to amp up the hugging, talking and reading.  It ends at age 2, yet randomized trials show that those children are less likely to be arrested as teenagers and the families require must less government assistance.

You can have a part in this great work.  Check out Nurse-Family Partnership and consider a linked gift to it when you give to your grandchild this Valentine's Day.

Wishing you lots of shared love, valentines, - and roses!
