Greetings!

What can be better than linking giving to your grandchildren with giving to a child in need, especially at the holidays?

Global Grandmothers rests on this concept, and your comments testify that it has struck a chord.

  • "I love this idea.  Each year we give each of our six grandchildren $100 at Thanksgiving and ask them to choose a charity, preferably global.  Last March we had the pleasure of visiting "garbage city" outside of Cairo because our granddaughter had chosen to send her money to a school there."  Grandmother from Hailey, Idaho.
  • "I have four grandchildren and a fifth on the way.  I was an activist in the 60's and I was looking for a way to help the world.  Global Grandmothers seemed like a way for me to feel involved.  I plan to match each gift to my grandchildren with a gift to one of your recommended organizations."  Grandmother from San Francisco, California.
  • "I am so happy to be a supporter of Global Grandmothers!  My 3 grandbabies are all learning early about sharing and giving." Grandmother from Sacramento, California.

Don't forget about the tools we offer you to realize these goals.

  • Recommended charities,a tab on the Global Grandmothers website that links you to charities vetted based on their effective support of children.  See www.globalgrandmothers.org  for the whole picture.
  • The Kids' Page which is a fun way to increase kids' global awareness and to involve them in giving.   Click here to see for yourself.
  • The Kid's Passport of Giving which you can print out to start keeping track of your GG charitable giving with your grandchild.  Find it on the "Kids' Page."

  • A Blog found on the last tab of the navigation bar.  You can make a comment by entering your name and email address.  We think this will become a valuable center for exchanging relevant information.

May you enjoy a warm and bountiful holiday as you make the world better for those near and far!
