December 13, 2012 Greetings! What can be better than linking giving to your grandchildren with giving to a child in need, especially at the holidays? Global Grandmothers rests on this concept, and your comments testify that it has struck a chord. - "I love this idea. Each year we give each of our six grandchildren $100 at Thanksgiving and ask them to choose a charity, preferably global. Last March we had the pleasure of visiting "garbage city" outside of Cairo because our granddaughter had chosen to send her money to a school there." Grandmother from Hailey, Idaho.
- "I have four grandchildren and a fifth on the way. I was an activist in the 60's and I was looking for a way to help the world. Global Grandmothers seemed like a way for me to feel involved. I plan to match each gift to my grandchildren with a gift to one of your recommended organizations." Grandmother from San Francisco, California.
- "I am so happy to be a supporter of Global Grandmothers! My 3 grandbabies are all learning early about sharing and giving." Grandmother from Sacramento, California.
