Glenbrooks name new assistant superintendent for business services
On Monday, March 21, the Glenbrook High School District 225 Board of Education approved the appointment of Dr. Raoul ("R.J.") Gravel as the Assistant Superintendent for Business Services, effective July 1.

Gravel currently serves as the district's Director of Technology Services, a position that he was hired to fill last summer. In his new role as Assistant Superintendent, he will also maintain leadership oversight of the technology services department.

"I am very excited to continue working in partnership with our educational community to support the evolving business and technology needs of our great school district," said Gravel. "We are very fortunate to have dedicated, experienced professionals, and I am honored to have the privilege to work alongside them in the coming months."

Prior to employment at the Glenbrooks, Gravel served as the Director of Instructional Technology for Johnsburg School District 12 and Technology Coordinator and Director of Liturgical Music for St. Bede the Venerable Church in Chicago. Gravel's education includes a Bachelor's degree in political science and public administration, Master's degrees in instructional technology and school business management, and a Doctorate in instructional technology, all from Northern Illinois University.
Gravel was selected from numerous qualified candidates after a review process that included various committee interviews.

Gravel will fill the vacancy left by Hillarie Siena who plans to retire this year, after 19 years of service at the Glenbrooks.
