Scheduled Board meeting date changed The regular Board meeting originally scheduled for Monday, March 14, has been changed to Tuesday, March 8. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. in the District Office Board Room.
Board discusses student fees for 2016-17
The Glenbrook High School District 225 Board of Education discussed a recommendation from the administration to freeze student fees at the same rates as last school year. The following student fees would remain the same, if the proposal is approved as presented: Driver education behind-the-wheel; towels; materials; instrument rental fee; credit card convenience charge; pre-school tuition, student parking stickers and bus transportation.
"The administration continues to make every effort to keep costs low for our families and yet still be fiscally responsible to our taxpayers who support the District," said Assistant Superintendent for Business Affairs Hillarie Siena.
The Board will vote on student fees at their next regular scheduled meeting on March 8.
Proposed fees for 2016-17

Towel fee:$10.50

Instrument rental: $20/semester

Materials: $15

Credit card fee: $2.50 per transaction*

Student parking stickers: $300/full year*

Preschool tuition: $160/day

Bus transportation fee:
- $700 if registered between April 4 - June 3, 2016
- $830 if registered after June 3, 2016
*The Board discussed adjusting the fees related to student parking stickers and the credit card convenience fees, and will continue that discussion at the next regular meeting.
