Board says farewell to outgoing member Cindy Wilkas
The Board of Education took a fifteen minute recess to say farewell to outgoing member Cindy Wilkas, who has officially resigned from her post due to an upcoming relocation out of the district.

"Cindy is a valued member of the Board of Education, and we will miss her contributions to our discussions greatly," said Superintendent Dr. Mike Riggle.

Wilkas was elected in 2013. The Board is currently in the process of appointing a new member to finish the remainder of her term, ending in 2017.

Administration presents annual review of curriculum
Every year, the administration from both GBN and GBS review and present curriculum reports to the Board of Education, in compliance with Board policy. Under the leadership of Assistant Superintendent Dr. Rosanne Williamson, and Associate Principals Mr. Ryan Bretag (GBN) and Mr. Cameron Muir (GBS), each department reviews every curricular offering during a five-year cycle. The instructional supervisors work together to align these review cycles and to share common issues and observations.

Each department report indicates which courses were reviewed during the past year and provides a brief description of the process. The report includes findings, subsequent recommendations, and action plans to address student needs.
