Board discusses student fees for 2015-16
The Glenbrook High School District 225 Board of Education approved a recommendation from the administration to freeze student fees at the same rates as last school year, with the exceptions of student parking stickers and bus transportation.
"The administration continues to make every effort to keep costs low for our families and yet still be fiscally responsible to our taxpayers who support the District," said Assistant Superintendent for Business Affairs Hillarie Siena.
The following student fees will remain the same as last year: Driver Education behind-the-wheel; towels; materials/technology; instrument rental fee; credit card convenience charge; and pre-school tuition. Both student parking stickers and bus transportation fees will increase for the 2015-16 school year. The Board voted to increase bus transportation fees by 3.7 percent at the meeting on February 9. The administration has not raised student parking stickers since 2011 and is recommending a $15 increase for the 2015-16 school year.
