Call for facilitators for HELP! Save Stan
Deadline to register: February 16, 2016
Event date: March 12, 2016
HELP! Save Stan is an award-winning event that brings students together for interprofessional health-team simulations and learning scenarios. Now in its sixth year, Help! Save Stan is the premier health team learning event for health sciences students in Edmonton.
What do our facilitators do? Each simulation or scenario is facilitated and debriefed by an interdisciplinary team of health professions. These facilitators provide student teams with critical feedback on their communication and teamwork skills, and assist them with reflecting on collaboration in an IP team context.
Do I need training or experience? Before the event, instructors can attend free training workshops, lead by experienced facilitators with proven track records in IP health education. Training includes an introduction to the advocacy-inquiry approach to debriefing IP simulation.
Where do I sign up? If you want more information about becoming a facilitator, or are ready to join our team today, please visit our website. bit.ly/SaveStan

Last summer, five high school students from Alberta spent two weeks in South Africa, learning about the people of the Eastern Cape and about the work of Keiskamma Trust is doing to build capacity in those struggling yet vibrant communities. Now, three Keiskamma Trust leaders are visiting Alberta to build bridges with Keiskamma Canada and to participate in I-Week activities. This session offers a window into the challenges and benefits of building human bridges across continents from the perspective of both the Alberta youth and the Keiskamma Trust leaders. Besides hearing from them, we will view a short documentary based on the students' journey.
Join us to hear what strengths partnership brings.
