Missing: mice, keyboards, cables

Supplies for all shared spaces in ECHA are paid for through the joint funding model. This includes all equipment used in boardrooms throughout the administrative levels. From time to time, items are accidentally removed, usually when people are taking their own laptops or other equipment back after a meeting. Please check your work space for extra equipment that might have found its way out of the boardroom.
If you find any of these items:
  • wireless mouse
  • wireless keyboard
  • wireless receivers
  • HDMI cable
  • data cable
return them to the ECHA Administration Office (3-394), no questions asked. Replacing these things is expensive; let's do our best to make sure our boardrooms have the equipment they need.

Can a walk in the River Valley change your brain?

It's possible! Writing in the New York Times blog, Well, Gretchen Reynolds cites an article published recently in the Proceedings of the National Acadmey of Sciences: "A walk in the park may soothe the mind and, in the process, change the workings of our brains in ways that improve our mental health, according to an interesting new study of the physical effects on the brain of visiting nature."  While the evidence is far from conclusive, a walk in the park never hurts. Whatever you do for the Labour Day weekend - find some time to enjoy the great outdoors.
