Health Research Team Incubation Space - Request for Applications


Background
In keeping with the Space Management Policy of the University of Alberta, the area comprising the Discovery Mall located on the top three floors of the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy (ECHA) has been allocated by the Vice-President Facilities and Operations to the Vice-President Research and the Health Sciences Council (HSC) as a central resource to support interdisciplinary and cross-sector health research within and across all Faculties at the University of Alberta in partnership with multi-stakeholders or collaborators.

The space available is intended to provide these mixed or diverse teams with a location to meet and incubate their research ideas into relevant health research questions and proposals for funding or other supports.

Timeline
* Proposals due: July 19, 2015
* Decisions expected by: September 1, 2015
* Earliest possible move in date: September 14, 2015

2015 Innovation Fund Call for Proposals

The Covenant Health Network of Excellence in Seniors' Health and Wellness 2015 Request for Applications to the Innovation Fund is now open. Application deadline is September 8, 2015.

2015 Pediatric Update Conference

September 17-19, 2015

Please help us spread the word to practitioners in the community and encourage them to attend - registration is now open! Pediatric Update is an annual continuing medical education outreach conference hosted by the Department of Pediatrics; the majority of the speakers at the conference are faculty members in our department (many thanks to them!). Delegates will learn about the latest advances, guidelines and resources for a wide variety of practical pediatric topics.

Who should attend? Community pediatricians, family physicians, emergency physicians, residents and trainees, nurses and nurse practitioners, and other allied health practitioners.

Members of the Health Science Council are welcome to submit promotional slides for the Health Sciences Education and Research Common's SUTV. For more information on how to submit a slide please see the attached document.
