Congratulations to SyMBIOTA

The Canadian Medical Association Journal has published the SyMBIOTA (Synergy in Microbiota Research) group's pilot data from the CHILD Vanguard cohort:  Gut microbiota of healthy Canadian infants: profiles by mode of delivery and infant diet at 4 months.

The publication has attracted attention around the world. (read the article in the Globe and Mail here) The SyMBIOTA group was one of the first research teams to move into the Interdisciplinary Health Research Academy (IHRA) incubation space in the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy. This project was led by Dr. Anita Kozyrskyj, the Women and Children's Health Research Institute Research Chair in Maternal-Child Health and the Environment.
