Greetings!

If my professional life and my Martial arts career have taught me anything, it is that, "Results Rule".

For many years I worked in a highly competitive environment in the boating industry on the West Coast of Florida. I did very well in that career, and moved up the ladder of success faster than anyone in the history of the company. I was able to accomplish this because of the results of my work.  

Each of us in the professional world has had the annual "Evaluation" from our superiors. Many times people go into these meetings filled with foreboding and worried about the outcome. I can honestly say that I have never experienced this. Now this isn't meant to sound vain or conceited, it is just this. I have always had a pocket full of statistics to fall back on. I did the work, and I had the results to show. I can tell you that I have never received a promotion or a pat on the back for "almost" doing anything.

In my martial arts career this lesson really hits home. Can you imagine passing a Black Belt because you "almost" did your best? That sounds pretty ridiculous doesn't it. Ok, how about another example, Let's say that you entered a Breaking Competition, and you were awarded 1st place because you came really close to breaking the board, but just came up a little short. Still sounds ridiculous?

All too often our society decides that mediocrity should be rewarded. Well I for one will tell you that "Mediocrity Sucks!"

When the national average means that you are living below the poverty level and are morbidly obese, why would you want to settle for average.

Each of us is capable of greatness, but it will not find you. You must go out and grab it, wrestle it to the ground, beat it into submission and then make it do your bidding.

Results Rule -

The result of hard work and dedication will always be success. Maybe not in the desired  time frame, maybe not in the desired arena, but success none the less.
