We have spoken recently about the idea that "Knowledge Is Power", however this idea is not exclusive.
I regularly set aside some dedicated time for "Goal Planning". This is that time when I sit down and really plan out what I want to accomplish. Each of us walk around every day saying " I'd really like to ....." But what action are we taking toward that idea?
Clarity IS Power
If I plan a strategic attack on every goal that I have in life, then I am almost assured some measure of success. However If I have the best intentions in the world, but do not have a plan of action, then I am basically setting myself up for failure. Planning leads to clarity and understanding.
My life, my mind, and my attention are constantly being bombarded from every side by news, ads, television, radio, telephones, etc.... For this reason it has become necessary that I set aside a small time from each day to inspect my previous day. This helps me to see what worked and what did not. In addition it helps me to plan my current day and the subsequent days to follow. This gives me clarity ( a clear vision) in my time management, my productivity, my successes, and my areas of improvement.
Once I have done this I can look at my list of needs or wants and see which will result in the most positive feedback for my self, my family and my school. This same type of thinking & strategic planning will work for businesses, families and marriages.
Try taking one personal goal and plan out how to achieve it. Once you have the process down and have seen the results, you are sure to role this out into other areas of your life.
