Greetings!
Practice makes perfect.... Right?
We have all heard this saying for years. The problem is that it assumes a lot. It assumes that you are practicing in perfect conditions with perfect focus and technique.
For the sake of this topic. Let's make it a bit more general. This idea, if correct, should be applicable in just about any area of life.
Whether you are at work, home, or dealing with personal issues you "Practice" on a daily basis. You are either practicing towards good or bad habits, but either way you are definitely practicing something all the time.
Let's say you set a personal goal, and then go straight to work on making that goal a reality. You practice on a daily basis getting closer each time to realizing your goal. Then finally you make it! Wow, what a great feeling. You lost that 10 pounds. You got that promotion. You went to the gym every day for a month. You get the idea. Ok, what now?
You made your goal through hard work dedication and CONSTANT PRACTICE! So why then is it that when we finally hit our goal we pull back. The actions that got us where we wanted to go are what will keep us there.
"DON'T PRACTICE UNTIL YOU GET IT RIGHT, PRACTICE UNTIL YOU CAN'T GET IT WRONG!"
Too often we make a goal, we hit that goal and then sit back admiring our accomplishments while not realizing that every second we are not continuing our practice we are sliding away from that peak.
Constant, unending, dedicated practice are the cornerstones of our success, or our failures.
So the question is, what are you practicing?
Respectfully,
Sa Bum Nym Jason
