Greetings!

Success Leaves Clues.

You just have to be looking for them and they will become very obvious to you. In recent years I have made it my personal & professional goal to hang in the right crowds. I have surrounded myself with successful, wealthy, morally founded individuals who are either working towards or have already achieved the level of success that I am looking for.

I have found over this time that there are many common factors that each of the successful individuals possessed.

1. An unyielding drive to a very specific goal. They don't beat around the bush. They know exactly what they are working for and how they are going to go about getting it.

2. Unparalleled Self Discipline - They have all had the superhuman power to deny themselves immediate gratification. They won't take a shortcut to getting most of what they want because they refuse to accept anything less than 100% of their original goal.

3. Planning - It sounds cliche to say it, but "If you fail to plan, then you are planning to fail". You have to have a road map to your destination in order to avoid getting lost or sent on a detour.

Once I started seeing all of these similarities, I then had to act upon them. I knew how to listen, and I have always been a pretty good student, so the Learning portion was not all that bad. The "Apply" was my sticking point. They say that you can't teach an old dog new tricks. That just isn't true. You can, it's just not as easy. We have lived a certain way for a long time for one reason or another and changing the way that you think, act and feel about things isn't easy, but that does not mean that it can't be done. I constantly remain a student of life because I know that I have much left to learn, and much of what I have learned is out of date, or could use an update. I surround myself with those individuals who have what I want and I ask them a lot of questions.

Do you have an area in your life that needs an overhaul? Have you set any goals in the recent past that haven't come to pass due an unclear plan? Do you have the self discipline to deny yourself what you want so that you can get what you need?

Find someone or several someones to help you by setting the right example. If you are hanging out with complainers and whiners find a new crowd! Success leaves clues - but they will remain hidden until you start looking for them!

It really is just that easy.
