Greetings!
Success in life is dependant on many things. Aptitude, effort, perseverance... and sweat!
Now you could say that the sweat part of this is both a metaphor as well as an actual characteristic of hard work, and for the sake of this article I will use it as both.
Obviously as a Martial Artist, the idea of making it to any level of Black Belt without a great amount of sweat seems ridiculous. But what about all the other areas of life that we deal with on a regular basis. If you look around at your co-workers, the successful ones, are they sitting around on their backsides asking everyone else to do their work for them, or are they highly motivated to succeed? At the gym, if you look around at the individuals that are really in top shape, are they sitting in the sauna, and hanging out at the juice bar, or are they on the treadmill, at the incline, or lifting weights?
All to often we look at successful people and claim that they had a better opportunity than we did. They had a better education, more money, they knew the right people. Well you might ask yourself, "How did they get that education, how did they meet those people". The chances are that it was the product of many hours of hard work studying and networking.
If I look at my greatest accomplishments, to a one, they were all the bi-product of hard work and dedication.
It all basically boils down to GOYA .
Get Off Your .....!
Make it happen. Do you have a list of accomplishments that you would like to make happen in 2013? What are you doing right now to make that happen?
If 2013 is going to be your year to get in shape and take charge of your life, then start planning now. Many of our students started out in our programs just looking for a hobby or to lose a couple of pounds. Now they are in the best shape of their lives.
How about you, are you willing to SWEAT to get what you want?
Respectfully,
Sa Bum Nym Jason Franklin

P.S. If you know of someone in your life who could benefit from our training, let us know together we can team up to get them started on the road to excellence.
