Calling all BBVLP attorneys to be honored at the Jan. 29th Coffee with the Judges

If you volunteered with the BBVLP during the past year, please email your RSVP today to nyarbrough@vlpbirmingham.org. so you can be recognized at the January 29th Coffee with the Judges.

This is the first Coffee with the Judges of the year and promises to be one of the best because Birmingham Bar Association President Bob MacKenzie and local judges will be recognizing volunteers with the BBVLP.

Besides eating a great breakfast and socializing with colleagues and the judiciary, all attendees will be entered to win a gift certificate to Highland's Bar & Grill and free tickets to the February 4th UAB basketball game honoring Wyndall Ivy.

Wyndall Ivey Tribute Post Game Party!

Celebrate the life and legacy of Wyndall Ivey on February 4th at 6:00 pm at Bartow Arena as the UAB Blazers take on Florida International. Click here for more information.

The Wyndall Ivey Tribute will continue after the game at the new Sky Castle Restaurant in Lakeview.
No Help Desk on Monday, January 18th

The Civil Help Desk will be closed on Monday, January 18th for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The Civil Help Desk will resume on Thursday, January 21st.

Please help woman through her divorce process

This client wants a divorce because she says that her husband is verbally abusive. She is very motivated but needs help navigating the case. The issues are real estate and retirement. Please contact Heather Bussey to help.

Please help mother keep custody of her disabled daughter

The mother of this 19-year-old disabled young lady says the father has had no contact with the daughter for several years but has now filed for custody to keep her and the daughter from moving to Haiti where the mother is opening an orphanage. Please contact Heather Bussey to help.
