Domestic Relations Help Desk closed for Veterans Day

In observance of Veteran's Day, there will be no Domestic Relations Help Desk on Wednesday,  November 11th. The Help Desk will resume on November 18th.
The BBVLP is seeking outstanding individuals to serve on its board
The BBVLP is accepting nominations for its 2016 board. 

Members of the board are responsible for encouraging volunteer attorney involvement and financial giving, planning strategy for growth and effectiveness, and implementing the new annual BBVLP fundraiser, Pro Hops Vino!

If you or someone you know is interested in serving on the BBVLP board, please complete this form and e-mail it to Nancy Yarbrough by Friday, November 13.

The 2016 BBVLP Board will be confirmed in December 2015 by current board members and you will be notified shortly thereafter if you have been ratified as a 2016 BBVLP board member.

This elderly client needs help filing a lawsuit against a company that she says is wrongfully building on her land. The client says that the company never asked her permission and has not given her any compensation. She has been paying taxes on the property since 1978. Widow needs help with her insurance company
This client's husband recently passed away. Her husband had an insurance policy and listed her as the only beneficiary. She sent the insurance company her husband's death certificate. The client says that the insurance company is refusing to pay the claim until she provides them with her husband's complete medical records. Please contact Katrina Brown to help this client.

Please sign-up for a two-hour time slot at a Help Desk held every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday or at a legal clinic at Pathways and Firehouse homeless shelters every Tuesday. Please contact Heather Bussey about helping at a shelter clinic.
