Walking Together For The Children!

Dear Friends and Partners,

Rio Roses is proud to announce our joint efforts to help Miami Children's Hospital launch its Together For The Children capital campaign through a fundraiser called Walking Together For The Children. It is a campaign to support a special walk by Mike Fernandez, one of the former board members of MCH Foundation in gratitude of a lifesaving surgery performed on his 19-month-old granddaughter Daniella.

Mike will be embarking on a pilgrimage and walking 500 miles from France to Spain beginning in late September and lasting approximately 40 days. Rio Roses will be helping Mike raise and exceed his goal of $1 million for Miami Children's Hospital and bring awareness to the world-class pediatric institution.

Join us by purchasing red roses for the month of September and Rio Roses will donate $.01 per stem of the red roses it pre-books and sells on the open market. Rio Roses' goal is to raise $5,000 for this great campaign.

Andy Garcia, Martin Sheen, Jeb Bush, Earvin "Magic" Johnson, Pat Riley and many other celebrities and community leaders have also supported Mike's great cause. See their testimonials here and learn more about what you can do.

Food Art with Flowers

Food Art with Flowers

An experienced chef knows that the appearance of a food dish influences the taste and the presentation of the food. Decorating food with fresh cut flowers is a simple and trendy way to add a touch of color and magnificence to food presentations. Incorporating real flowers in food takes the foods appearance to another level.

wedding cake

Not only can we decorate wedding cakes with real flowers, but also we can decorate delicious food dishes, sweet treats, and more! Complement the food with flowers by shape, color, etc. For example, use marigold petals in soup, dandelions and carnations in salads, roses and pansies for desserts, and add bold colored flowers to meat and fish dishes. As you can see, the possibilities of food art are truly endless! Although decorating with the fresh cut flowers takes a lot of time and preparation, the final result is over the top and unique.

Reach out to local restaurants in your area to see if they are in need of fresh cut flowers for their food preparations. This elemental surprise on food dishes can set a restaurant apart from other restaurants in the area and make a customer's experience memorable. When remarkable presentation meets superior food, you can't lose!

What Are Your Obstacles?

What are you going to do about them?

In these uncertain times, more and more people are frozen by their fears, doubts and limiting beliefs. I look at these as obstacles. Yes, obstacles to our happiness and success.

What makes matters worse is that everywhere we turn we are bombarded with more of these obstacles. Whether it is the media or at the office water cooler; it seems that everyone is focused on sharing negative information.

If you continue to subject yourself to all of these negative obstacles, how do you expect to enjoy your life?

You don't have to participate in this paralyzing game. You deserve better! You actually do have a choice. I say... Enough, no more. I say it is time to take back your life, your happiness, your joy; the life that you deserve.

Starting right now, make the choice to focus on the good, the positive, the best of times.

Remove the obstacles of doubt, fear and limiting beliefs. Turn off the news. Tell your friends you only want to hear about the good things that are happening in their lives.

Share with them the things that you are grateful for, and ask them to do the same thing.

Be a solution finder! Celebrate your life!

Celebrate Life

Action Steps...

  • Don't condemn, criticize or complain... become a solution finder instead
  • Get rid of the "Negatrons" in your life
  • Avoid the news, say "No" to television, radio, and negative publications
  • Look for and share stories about positive people and events
  • Share them with your family and friends
  • Have an attitude of gratitude
  • Read something inspirational, educational, or spiritual each day
  • Replace your limiting beliefs and fears with new, positive, empowering beliefs
  • Take ownership of your life, seize the moment!

Remember...Every day is a gift, and the quality of your life is your gift to yourself.
