Wellshire eNews

The mission of Wellshire Church is to seek, embrace, and nurture disciples within a community of hope that plays together, sings of God's glory, and celebrates Jesus Christ through service.

This Sunday, May 1
On May 1, Dr. Bell will preach on John 5:1-9, a scandalous story about Jesus healing on the Sabbath. Of particular interest was Jesus' question to the invalid, "Do you want to be made well?" Communion will be served in Living Water worship, and new members will be welcomed this Sunday, too. Music in worship includes Falson's I See the Lord at 9:00 am and Hogan's Old Time Religion at 11:00 am. Preview the 11:00 am Order of Worship here.
  • Child's play: childcare for May! Can you lend a hand to help care for Wellshire's youngest members for the remaining Sundays in May? Please volunteer for childcare here.
  • South Entrance Closed: Wellshire's roof is currently receiving repairs, so the solar panels have been removed from it and placed within a fenced-in area near the Cornell Avenue entrance. Please use another entrance until the roof repairs are completed. Thanks!

May 8 is Ascension Sunday. The Rev. Katie Robb Davis preaches from Acts 1:1-11, as Jesus leaves the disciples and ascends to heaven. She asks the question, "So where is Jesus now?" Music in worship includes Curry's We Shall Arise at 9:00 am and Thompson's Ye Shall Have a Song at 11:00 am.
