Thicker Corn Husks Can be a Sign for Cooler Winter Weather Ahead
If corn husks are very chick and tight, the corn- which relies on warm weather to thrive - is trying to protect itself from cooler weather coming its way.

Coventry Place Neighbors - Ruhl Commercial, Volt and Ausdal Financial Partners - participate in the Healthiest State Walk together!

As part of Terry Branstad's initiative to have Iowa become the healthiest state in the nation by 2016, we all participated in the Healthiest State Walk by walking 1K around Coventry Place.  It turned out to be one of the nicest days to take advantage of the great outdoors and get one step closer to a healthier Iowa.

End of Daylight Savings Means Time to Focus on Fire Safety
The end of Daylight Savings Time will be Sunday November 2nd at exactly 2AM.  In addition to turning your clocks back one hour, it is the perfect time to make sure that your fire extinguishers are up to code and check your batteries in smoke alarms within your home and office space.

To make sure your fire extinguisher follows proper safety guidelines simply review the following questions:
  • Is the fire extinguisher visible and easily accessible?
  • Is the safety seal broken or missing?
  • Does the gauge or pressure indicator show the arrow pointing towards the green section indicating correct pressure?
  • Is there any obvious damage such as corrosion or leakage?
  • Are the operating instructions legible?
Be sure to check your lease to see if you are responsible for covering the safety measures for these items inside your personal commercial space!

If you have any questions about your lease or would like our team to verify your items are up to code - please call us today at 563-355-4000!
