3 Types of Leases in Commercial Real Estate
Our latest blog showcases the different types of leases and what that means for you!

There are three types of leases in commercial real estate; all with unique terms and agreements between a tenant and the property owner or landlord.  While lease terms and conditions may differ from property to property, this basic outline will help you determine what expenses you are solely accountable for.  From who is responsible for changing a burnt light bulb to who must replace frozen pipes, knowledge is essential to a successful partnership between a landlord and tenant.

ALS Ice Bucket Challenge - Accepted!

Thanks to Ruhl & Ruhl Realtors, our company was challenged to participate in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Not only did we participate in the challenge, we also were able to contribute $100.00 from the participants and the company to ALS research.  Our President, John G. Ruhl was such a good sport as we helped his daughter Isabella dump ice cold water on him!

It's Glow Time - 5K Run at Bass Street Landing

Our Marketing Director, Elissa Allen and our Research Specialist, Angie Gibbs, along with their husbands, participated in the "It's Glow Time 5K Run" that was hosted at Bass Street Landing on September 13th!  Both were able to beat their previous race times - Way to go!  Did anybody else get to experience Bass Street Landing under the black lights?!
Reconstruction in Moline : Caxton Building's East Parking Lot will be Inaccessible for Roughly 3 Weeks

As many of you may have experienced, the City of Moline has already begun work on the reconstruction of 2nd Avenue from 18th to 19th Street.  This work will include the reconstruction of both intersections and is in preparation for the new I-74 Bridge.


 

Some of the reconstruction and improvements include:

  • New Concrete Pavement
  • New Sanitary Sewer
  • New Water Main
  • Sidewalk Improvements

For those of you in and around the Caxton Building on River Drive,  the 2nd Avenue work that will obstruct the east parking lot is now projected to be starting Monday, September 29th and is estimated to take roughly 3 weeks.  


 

We will share any updates as soon as we receive them.
