Saturday, March 15, 2014
9:30 - 2:30 (Lunch provided)
A special training event for Youth Group leaders, Chaperones, Church School Teachers and Clergy in the Grand West and Southwest Associations
Many of our churches have 'Safe Sanctuary' polices that help protect children and manage the risk that churches assume when providing programs for children and youth. These same churches, however, often lack the training resources necessary to educate church leaders about abuse prevention and best practices. This training day is jointly sponsored by the Grand West and Southwest Associations, the MIchigan Conference, and the Insurance Board of the United Church of Christ. Trainers for this event are from the Insurance Board and Praesidium, Inc., a provider of risk management trainings.
