Michigan Conference United Church of Christ Press Release

Dear Friends:

Barb Paff, our Administrative Assistant to Associate Conference Ministers, has shared with me her intention to retire before year's end. This is sad news for the Conference because Barb has been an able assistant here at the Conference Office for over nine years. She has worked closely with a number of different ACM's and she has been a great resource for our Associations in many different capacities. In addition, Barb has been the key staff person for archiving our Conference records and filing all of our UCC Yearbook reports from each church. These are complex tasks and she has developed a large amount of specialized knowledge that will be difficult to duplicate. Thus, I am glad that she is willing to help train her replacement and assist with the Yearbook filing if necessary. Those of us at the Conference Office will surely miss Barb's attention to detail and her awesome brownies!

In the coming weeks I will have conversations with the Personnel Committee and Conference staff about filling the vacancy left by Barb's retirement.  I hope that you will keep the Conference in your prayers as we continue in what  may feel to many like an endless cycle of transition.

With you on the journey,

Campbell Lovett

Conference Minister

Some additional comments from Barb Paff:

I have loved working for the Michigan Conference, and will truly miss my co-workers here in the office...as well as the many folks in the Associations with whom I've also worked.  These nine years have been a joy.  My thanks to all of you!

And I want to point out that Lisa makes better brownies than I do ;-)
