24th Annual Leadership Perspectives Graduation

The Willmar Lakes Area Leadership Perspectives class of 2015-2016 will celebrate their graduation on May 10th from 5:30 - 8:00 pm at the Willmar Conference Center.  Our keynote speaker is James Miller with the United Way of West Central MN who will be speaking on "Leading Your Way."  All alumni are encouraged to attend!

Leadership Minnesota Applications Open
 
An opportunity for Willmar business leaders -   The Minnesota Chamber is currently taking applications for two programs that will provide select business leaders the opportunity to travel the state, learn what drives Minnesota's economy and how public policy affects the success of business here.  Leadership Minnesota is entering its 16th year and has alumni including our own Dave Baker, Wayne Nelson, Bob Mathiasen and Michael Gramm.  More information can be found at: https://www.mnchamber.com/connect/leadership-minnesotaThe deadline to apply is May 6.   View brochure.
 
Leaders Lab is in its second year geared for those 25-35 years old. Kandiyohi County CEO Trade Show Tickets Available
 
The second annual Kandiyohi County CEO Trade Show is taking place on May 16th from 4:30 to 6:30 pm in the Life Science Auditorium on the MinnWest Campus. Admission is free to the public and light refreshments will be provided. Come explore the new businesses high school entrepreneurs have created with the help of our local business experts. MNDOT Announces 2016 Transportation Construction Program
 
The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced its 2016 transportation construction program on Thursday, April 14.  Statewide, the 2016 construction program totals $930 million.   The 2016 statewide program has fourteen fewer projects and is $70 million smaller than the 2015 construction program.  Sources of revenue continue to decrease, while transportation system needs increase.  To view the 2016 Metro Area and Greater MN projects visit www.dot.state.mn.us/construction.
