Ambassadors Attend Ribbon Cutting

Is Your Business Prepared for the EMV Technology Shift?
 
Magnetic stripe credit cards have been around for decades, but that's changing as the U.S. adopts what is considered a more secure payment technology - EMV (Europay, MasterCard & Visa). EMV cards, which are commonly called "chip" cards, are widely used in hundreds of countries outside the U.S. to reduce payment fraud. With the change in card technology comes changes in liability for merchants beginning October 1, 2015. Read here to understand more about how you can prepare for the changes.
Walk the Corridor | Thursday, October 8th | 3-5pm Social Hour to Follow | Cost: $15/person

The WLACC, neXt, WAM-BC and the EDC are partnering to bring you "Walk the Corridor" on October 8th from 3 - 5 pm with a social hour to follow.  Cost for this event is $15 per person and will feature an educational presentation, progressive tour of ethnically owned businesses located in downtown Willmar and a social hour with food and refreshments.  The educational session and tours will start at Christianson & Associates (302 5th Street SW) and will be one of 4 (four) businesses in the downtown corridor, followed by a social hour at The Goodness Coffee House (333 Litchfield Avenue SW) where you will get a chance to try some of the awesome items that these businesses offer. View the flyer here.

Health Care Reform Talk | Wednesday, October 14th | 7:30-9:00am

Together with Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing, PLLP and CDS Administrative Services, LLC we are sponsoring this event for employers to learn more about their responsibilities in accordance with the Health Care Reform Act. Red Carpet Event | October 24th | Willmar Conference Center | 6pm - 9pm
 
Tickets are going fast for this year's Red Carpet Event which will be held on October 24th featuring BOSTYX! Following our Old-Fashioned Hog Roast meal, Bostyx, featuring former vocalist and guitarist, David Victor, of Boston, will hit the stage and perform all the hits of Boston and Styx.
