Health Care Reform Talk | Wednesday, October 14th | 7:30-9:00am

Together with Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing, PLLP and CDS Administrative Services, LLC we are sponsoring this event for employers to learn more about their responsibilities in accordance with the Health Care Reform Act. It will be at the Willmar Conference Center on Wednesday, October 14th from 7:30 - 9:00am. This event is free with an RSVP. You can read more about the topics covered here.

Walk the Corridor | Thursday, October 8th | 3-5pm Social Hour to Follow | Cost: $15/person

The WLACC, neXt, WAM-BC and the EDC are partnering to bring you "Walk the Corridor" on October 8th from 3 - 5 pm with a social hour to follow.  Cost for this event is $15 per person and will feature an educational presentation, progressive tour of ethnically owned businesses located in downtown Willmar and a social hour with food and refreshments.  The educational session and tours will start at Christianson & Associates (302 5th Street SW) and will be one of 4 (four) businesses in the downtown corridor, followed by a social hour at The Goodness Coffee House (333 Litchfield Avenue SW) where you will get a chance to try some of the awesome items that these businesses offer. View the flyer here.

Ambassadors Present First Dollar

On September 17th, Ambassadors presented The Farm Tech Store with their First Dollar. Drew Ryder is the President of Feedlogic and The Farm Tech Store which is located at 1301 US Highway 12 East, Suite 100 in Willmar. They recently opened with the main goal of helping farmers and rural residents with connectivity options and other new farm technologies. Click here to view photos of the First Dollars.
Lakeland Broadcasting 75 Year Anniversary | Monday, October 5th | 6:30am - 6:00pm

WLACC Welcomes New Member Team House Hibachi Grill & Buffet
 
Team House Hibachi Grill & Buffet is the newest member of the WLACC.  They will be located in the old Chen Garden space and are currently remodeling. When they open they will be offering all of your favorite Chinese, Seafood, Hibachi and Sushi options. More information coming soon!

MN/DOT Poll Tally | Will Transportation Funding Be the Focus in 2016?
 
Last week a survey was sent out to our membership asking for your input on which options Minnesota's Legislature should focus on in 2016 for increasing funding for transportation projects in Minnesota. Out of the over 1,400 emails that were sent out 16% of our members answered. Click here to see the results of this poll, and thank you for taking the time to complete it.
Women's Works | October 10th | WEAC Building
 
On Saturday, October 10th from 6:00-8:00 pm you are invited to the WEAC Building to attend a free night of entertainment celebrating the beauty, diversity and power of women in the community with dance, musical and written word performances. Decrease Workplace Burnout | Thursday, October 22nd | 12:00-1:00pm
 
On Thursday, October 22nd Rice Hospital's ReYou program and The Y are brining you Tools to Decrease Burnout and Increase Resiliency in the Workplace. This will be held at the Lakeland Auditorium at Rice Memorial Hospital and is from 12:00pm-1:00pm. The cost is $5 per person and you must register ahead of time.
