April Outdoor Almanac |
Songbirds and waterfowl arrive to nest for the summer, or to stop on their way to breeding grounds in Canada and the Arctic. Bats move from winter hibernation sites, like the ledges at Liberty Park, to summer homes in tree hollows and under loose bark. Male turkeys look for mates, and their gobbles can be heard throughout O'Neil Woods Metro Park.
