A Note From Pastor Matt
About financial management of our congregation: Here's a current picture of the critical leaders in managing our finances.
Thanks to those who made suggestions or responded to the request for Bookkeeper for Crown of Glory. We have hired Deana Hagen who comes to us with bookkeeping and payroll experience. I deeply appreciate your help and responsiveness as a community of faith!
Our sincere thanks and admiration goes to Kristi Kirsch who for the past five years has kept us on top of our bookkeeping needs. Kristi will be helping get Deana up to speed in the coming weeks. Thanks so much Kristi for making our lives easier and for helping Crown of Glory fulfill our financial responsibilities we'll.
Jill Nelson continues to serve as our volunteer treasurer and is invaluable in helping manage the cash flow and analysis of the congregation as well as helps keep our financial practices in good order.
Sherri Taylor, in addition to being a key leader in our Confirmation ministry, volunteers to manage the recording of financial gifts from members and participants in the life of the congregation.
Grant Taylor, Sherri's husband, provides the leadership of the congregation with accurate tracking and trends in giving at Crown of Glory.
Our Stewardship and Finance team is also another set of eyes for good practices in management, budgeting and stewardship at Crown of Glory. That team is lead includes Dan Dose, Bryan Hinz, Brad Rupert and Dave Hauck.
All of the people play a significant roll in the financial leadership of this congregation. Thanks to all of them for playing their part in maintaining a reliable and responsive system for Crown of Glory.
Shalom,
Pastor Matthew Bersagel

A Message from Pastor Reggie
"I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws."
Ezekiel 36:25-27
Something New
In this Old Testament writing the prophet Ezekiel speaks about one of the most defining characteristics of God; making things new! God has a delicate way of making things new, especially with those parts of creation that need it most. The prophet's words are of God, reminding the creature of its old life and old ways, looking forward to a change that is not just temporary, but rather one that transforms for life and eternity.
God undeniably has a way of making all of us new. The prophet Ezekiel brought an important message to the people of his day. His words echo our Christian understanding of Baptism; God sprinkles clean water on us, removing the impurities, giving us a new heart and God gives us the His Spirit which moves us to follow Him.
In today's world, we also see this renewal in the form of the redemptive work in God's Son Jesus Christ. This month, we look forward to the celebration of Easter once again! Easter is the ultimate message of renewal. Holy week is a riveting time for all people to experience the whirlwind of events that include the celebration of the Last Supper, Jesus' betrayal and arrest, Jesus facing his accusers in unwarranted trials, Jesus before Pontius Pilot, Jesus' affliction at the hands of the Roman whip, Jesus' final judgment of death, Jesus' walk to Calvary, Jesus' crucifixion and final words from the cross, Jesus' death...and finally, His glorious resurrection!
Throughout Holy Week, we experience a host of ways that God is making things new. We experience the new graces of family and fellowship, worship and service, personal renewal and the renewed promise of God's love for us in Jesus Christ. As you make your journey through this season of renewal, may you experience the sprinkling of water, a renewed heart and the Spirit of God moving you towards the empty tomb!
In Christ,
Pastor Reggie Klindworth

Fellowship
NEW "TABLE OF 8"
Table of 8 is an outreach ministry to help connect members of the church. The basic principle is to connect members of the church around a meal. Eight people (usually four couples, or could be a combination with single folks), are paired together and given two months to connect and have a meal together. One couple is randomly designated as the host, will provide the main meal and coordinates the time to meet and what the others will bring. Then the 8 people gather at the home of the host for a time of Christian fellowship. After participating groups have gotten together with their table of 8, the rotation switches. A non-intimidating and intentional way to get members connected. We would like to start this group after the first of the year. If you are interested in participating, please contact Megan Gruis at megangruis@hotmail.com.
Book Club
