| A Message From Pastor Reggie |
"I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain.
I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me."
Psalm 3:4-5
Awake to a New Year
Another year has come and gone. Individually we are one year older and one year the wiser. On the one hand, we've experienced another year of faults and formalities; but on the other hand we've also experienced one more year of family, fellowship, faithfulness and moments we won't soon forget! In good posture, we say farewell to a year that offered us insight to our future as a nation, our vulnerabilities as people and our hopes for tomorrow. Now is the time to awake to a New Year!
What will this New Year hold for you and your family? What new things will come your way? What new experiences are you looking forward to having? What new obstacles will you need to overcome in order to continue to grow? What does God have in store for each of us in this New Year!
In Psalm 3:4-5 we listen to the Psalmist write about the days of life, lying down to sleep and then waking once again, the natural cycle of all of our lives. But aside from the day-to-day sleeping and rising, the psalmist has a reason to rise each day. The reason comes from the Lord. Simply said, God sustains!
What a concept, God sustains! This is a basic principle that we can all rely on throughout our lives. We can all go to sleep each night knowing that despite the road blocks or adventure that life offers us, we can rely on the fact that God is a constant presence in our lives. May your New Year be filled with the sustaining promises of God's love and mercy!
In Christ,
Pastor Reggie Klindworth

Crown of Glory Women's Retreat - January 25-27 2013 - NEW VENUE
The CoG Women's retreat is rapidly approaching. We were sad to find out that our home at Green Lake Bible Camp is booked for all weekends in January and February 2013. So we did some research and found something very similar!
Villa Maria Center, whereGod is Center and the World is Welcome. http://www.villamariaretreats.org/ Check out the Wildwood Cabin! So share this with all your girlfriends, mothers, sisters and daughters.
Our Theme this year is "Traditions." Let us know if you would like to attend by contacting Kim Gallagher (gallagher4us@yahoo.com) or calling the church office. For comments or questions, contact Kim Gallagher or Sherri Taylor (Sherriktaylor@hotmail.com ).
NEW "TABLE OF 8"
Table of 8 is an outreach ministry to help connect members of the church. The basic principle is to connect members of the church around a meal. Eight people (usually four couples, or could be a combination with single folks), are paired together and given two months to connect and have a meal together. One couple is randomly designated as the host, will provide the main meal and coordinates the time to meet and what the others will bring. Then the 8 people gather at the home of the host for a time of Christian fellowship. After participating groups have gotten together with their table of 8, the rotation switches. A non-intimidating and intentional way to get members connected. We would like to start this group after the first of the year. If you are interested in participating, please contact Megan Gruis at megangruis@hotmail.com.
Book Club
January's Book: "Molokai" by Alan Brennert. You are invited to read this novel and come for a discussion. The Book discussion will be held on Monday, January 28, at 6:30 p.m. at Crown of Glory. If you have questions about Book Club, please contact Dianne Larson at 952-448-6606.
