Book Fair! A great way to get your children excited about reading! You have one last chance to visit the Holmes Scholastic Book Fair during Open House on Thursday, May 22nd from 5:00-7:30pm.

Did you see all the amazing art our students created this year?  If you missed the Student Art Show during Spring Fling, you have another chance to see the Arts Attack display in the Library on Thursday, May 22nd from 5:00-7:30pm.  

Arts Attack is an award-winning DVD-based art program purchased by the PTA and taught by parent volunteers in the classrooms each month. Come see the fabulous piece of artwork your child has created!  

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Spring Fling planning committee: Jessie Nettles, Janette Gradyan, Cami Able, Jen Kennedy, and Ivonne Ganss. This event could not have taken place without their tireless efforts. And THANK YOU to all the Holmes parents who donated their time to help make the Spring Fling so successful!

PTA is accepting submissions for inclusion in the last issue of the Hawkeye newsletter. If you have interesting school news or a community event to share with Holmes families, please submit it by Friday, May 23rd to our Hawkeye editor, Amy Lisson at amy.lisson@holmespta.org.

Memorial Day is on Monday, May 26th and there will be NO SCHOOL as we honor the men and women who gave their lives to serve our country. School will resume on Tuesday, May 27th.

Holmes Cub Scout Pack 299 invites boys in K-4th Grade and their families to join us at a New Scout Information Meeting in the Holmes Auditorium on Tuesday, May 27th at 6:30pm.

Come learn more about Cub Scouts and the fun activities we have planned for the summer! 

Students, parents and staff are invited to a FIESTA Lunch on Wed, May 28th during regular lunch schedules:

Gr. 4-6......12:40-1:00pm

We will be holding a School Tour for new families wishing to see campus to enroll new students  on Friday, May 30th. The Tour will be from 9:10 - 10:10am beginning with an orientation in the Auditorium followed by visits to classrooms.

Our annual Variety Show will be held on Friday, May 30th. There will be a day performance for students and an evening show for parents and families at 6:00pm in the Auditorium. 

Come see our students show off their individual talents from singing and dancing to playing instruments and acting.
