Parents are invited to meet with Principal, Jonathan Saipe, in the Holmes Auditorium on Friday, March 7th at 9:10-9:45am. A staff member from Clairemont High School will be here to discuss High School A-G requirements.  

From 9:45-10:10am parents are invited to their child's classroom to read or participate in a learning activity. The Holmes PTA will provide coffee and donuts.

The problem of head lice is ongoing and can be a time consuming, frustrating nuisance. Prompt diagnosis and treatment is essential to get rid of them. To that end, PTA has posted information on the school web site to educate parents on lice prevention and treatment. 

Don't forget to turn your clocks forward by one hour on Saturday night. Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 9th at 2am. Although we'll lose an hour of sleep, we'll have more daylight in the evening.

There will be an early 1:15pm dismissal on Wed, March 12th through Friday, March 14th due to Parent/Teacher Conferences. Please be sure to pick up your child on time.

A special guest speaker, Tracie Arlington of Play It Safe, will present on Anti-Bullying at the PTA Meeting. Free childcare will be available from the YMCA.

In January, Holmes students, parents, community volunteers, and staff from Fish & Wildlife and California Native Plant Society planted our Canyon Rim Native Plants Garden. Over 120 Tecolote-specific natives were added, along with rocks, gorilla hair mulch and pathways.  

On May 17th, Holmes' five gardens will be featured in the Clairemont Garden Tour held during our Spring Fling.

Student pictures taken on Monday should be back in about a week. If your student was absent on Picture Day, there is NO make-up day scheduled.
