Bucks for Bode

Help a Holmes family in need
this holiday season!

Bode Paulsen, a former Holmes
student, has been fighting cancer for
a while. In August, his eye was
removed to stop the progression of the disease and he is now undergoing 50 weeks of chemotherapy. This is a very challenging time for him and his family and they could really use your help this holiday season.

They would love to hear from you via letters or cards which can be dropped off in the Holmes Office. Monetary and/or meal donations would also be much appreciated. If you would like to help, please download the attached Bucks for Bode Flyer for more information.

Bicycles at School
Biking Policy
Biking to school can be a fun and easy way to encourage your children to make healthy lifestyle choices. To make it easier for bikers to safely park their bikes on campus, we have moved the bike rack next to Room B-22. This is a safer location in closer proximity to upper grade classrooms. Bikers can access the bike rack via the pedestrian gate on Mt. Brundage.

Having your children attend a neighborhood school has some great perks: we carpool, our kids walk and bike to school together, we call each other if we are going to be late.

We have options, but see the importance of making our community stronger by staying in our cluster schools. We keep our home values up by partnering with our schools to make them the best schools for our children. Neighborhood schools can be a powerful component of a community!

Keep up to date on what is happening in our local Clairemont schools by subscribing to the Clairemont Community of Schools Newsletter. Email julee.jenkins@gmail.com to subscribe.
