Give with Target - Vote Now!

Target is giving money to schools for one simple act: a Vote! Our school needs just 25 votes to earn $25 from Target.  For each additional vote, our school will get $1 more.  You can vote for Holmes Elementary once a week through Sept 21st.  If you are a Facebook member, go to GiveWith.Target.com. Be sure to vote during the week of 9/8 and then again during the week of 9/15.  We appreciate your support! 

 

Needed: Halloween Carnival Volunteers

PTA Needs Your Help!  The Halloween Carnival is an annual Holmes tradition and a lot of fun for the kids. It is coming up fast (Oct 26th). We need a few volunteers to be on the planning committee so that we can make this Carnival happen! Positions needed:

- Carnival Coordinator
- Volunteer Coordinator
- Decorating Coordinator
- Food & Drinks Coordinator
- Prize Coordinator

Visit the Book Fair - a great way to get your children excited about reading!

Students can purchase books during recess, lunch, and after school on Mon-Thu. Parents can also shop during class visits on Mon and Tues, as well as on Thursday night at Back to School Night from 5-8pm.  

We need volunteers to help check out books!  Please sign up if you can help.

Back to School Night - Sept 26

Back to School Night is on Thursday, Sept 26th from 6:00-7:30pm. Meet your child's teacher and learn about classroom plans for the school year. 
 
To accommodate parent work schedules and siblings in multiple grade levels, all classes will have 2 repeated presentations.  Please choose to attend one of the following (adults only please): 
 
Presentation #1 - 6:00-6:40pm or 
Presentation #2 - 6:45-7:30pm

Cub Scouting offers boys a year-round, family-oriented program that is filled with character-building activities. Cub Scout Pack 299 invites all boys in 1st-5th Grades and their families to learn more about scouting at our first Pack meeting of the school year on Thursday, Sept 12th at 6:30pm in the Holmes Auditorium.

Would you like to be involved in your child's classroom? Do you love art? Do you have a couple of hours a month to
spare? Consider volunteering for Arts Attack! We are looking for grade level coordinators, as well as classroom volunteers. Be a part of this fun, PTA sponsored program and support our youth in arts!
