Book Fair - May 20th thru May 23rd
| |  Visit the Spring Book Fair on Monday, May 20th through Thursday, May 23rd in the Holmes Auditorium. The Book Fair is a great way to get your children excited about reading! The Book Fair will be open for students to purchase books during recess, lunch, and after school on Mon-Thur. Parents can also shop during class visits on Monday and Tuesday, as well as on Thursday night at Open House. |
| Silent Auction & Raffle Baskets - May 23rd | |  Article SubheadingOur annual Silent Auction and Raffle Baskets will be held on Thursday, May 23rd, the same night as Open House. Please be sure to visit the Cafeteria when you are at the school this night! We have lots of fabulous items to auction off including 2 four day passes to Comic Con! Last Mileage Club Token Day - May 16th

The last day of running at Mileage Club was on Tuesday, May 14th. The final tokens will be distributed on
Thursday, May 16th. Mileage Club participants are invited to join us in the lunch courtyard for our year end Awards Ceremony & Breakfast on Tuesday, May 21st @ 8:20am.

Come to our pizza fundraiser at Mountain Mike's Pizza on Clairemont Drive on Thursday, May 16th from 11am to 9pm. Present the Mountain Mike's invitation and up to 30% of all orders placed will be donated to support the students at Holmes. |
| New Cub Scout Orientation - May 16th | |  Article SubheadingCub Scout Pack 299 invites boys in K-4th Grade and their parents to join us at a New Scout Orientation Meeting in the Holmes Library on Thursday, May 16th at 6:30pm. Box Top Contest Deadline - May 17th

The last collection date for Box Tops is on Friday, May 17th. In order for them to count in our Box Top Contest, they must not be expired, the date must be visible, and the Box Top must be cut along the dotted lines.
The top three classes with the most Box Tops for the year will win a Popcorn & Juice Party. Winners will be announced the last week of May.

| Madison Tri Mathlon - May 17th | | Article Subheading The Madison Community of Schools and Mathnasium Point Loma invite all 3rd-6th graders in the Madison cluster to join them for their Tri Mathlon on Friday, May 17th. This fun math contest is from 6:00 - 8:30pm at Madison High School. Prizes and raffles will be awarded! Download and return the Tri Mathlon Registration Form. |
| Music Class Open House - May 28th & 30th | |  Article SubheadingParents and family of K-4th Graders are invited to our Music Class Open House. Come see what your child has been learning in music class this year and meet our new music teacher, Kirk Valles. Open Houses will be held during regular music class times on Tuesday, May 28th and Thursday May 30th in Room 18 (YMCA room). Choral Music is funded by the Holmes PTA for grades K-4. |

Family Science Night will be on
Wednesday, May 29th at 6:30 - 8:00pm in the Holmes Auditorium. This hands on event, "Beyond the Magic", is put on by the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. This is a free event, sponsored by Holmes PTA. Space is limited - first come, first served. To register return the Science Night Flyer to your child's teacher.
