| PTA Association Meeting - March 21st | |  Article SubheadingCome and get connected at the third PTA Association Meeting of the year on Thursday, March 21st at 6pm in the Holmes Auditorium. PTA members are invited to come elect the 2013-2014 PTA Board, to approve the mid-year budget, and to adopt the mid-year audit. Download the Nominating Committee's recommended PTA Board candidates.

| Principal Saipe in a Pink Tutu? Let's make it happen! | |  Article SubheadingWhy would Principal Saipe ever agree to wear a pink Tutu to school?! He knows how important it is for us to raise money in the Spring Donation Drive. We have raised $5,000 of our $15,000 fundraising goal. If the school is able to raise $10,000, Principal Saipe will color his hair pink, wear a pink Tutu and a pink t-shirt for the day!! Help us make it happen! Please submit cash or check donations payable to Holmes PTA by March 26th. Download the Spring Donation Drive Form attached to the H.E.R.O. | H.E.R.O. Run - March 28th | |  Article Subheading
Our 7th Annual H.E.R.O. Run will take place on Thursday, March 28th beginning at 1:45pm. We need classroom volunteers to help count laps! Please sign up with your Room Parent. We also need help with general set up on the day of the H.E.R.O. Run. Please contact Arlyn Engebretson at arlyn.engebretson@holmespta.org if you can help.
To save on costs, PTA will not be providing T-Shirts this year. Please have your child wear their own shirt in the color assigned by his/her grade level:
Kindergarten: White
First Grade: Orange
2nd Grade: Dark Blue
3rd Grade: Red
4th Grade: Yellow
5th Grade: Green
6th Grade: Light Blue

| Spring Portraits - March 25th | |  Article SubheadingSpring portraits will be taken of all students during the school day on Monday, March 25th. Sixth graders will have their promotion pictures taken. Be sure to schedule those haircuts and dress your child for an outdoor backdrop. No money is needed on picture day and there is no obligation to purchase portraits.

| Lost & Found - March 28th | |  Article SubheadingPlease be sure to check the Lost and Found next to Room 4 for clothing and items your child might be missing by March 28th. Everything will be donated to Goodwill over Spring Break. Is your child missing a green Razor scooter? Have you misplaced a brown umbrella? If so, you can pick them up in the School Office. |

| Seeking Spring Fling Chairpeople | |  Article SubheadingThe Spring Fling is scheduled for Saturday, May 11th. PTA is seeking volunteers to Chair or to help with the Spring Fling Silent Auction. We also need a Chair to coordinate our annual Raffle Baskets.
If interested in helping with either of these important events, please contact Marlo Boyce, at marlo.boyce@holmespta.org. If no one volunteers to chair the Raffle Baskets, we will not have them this year.

| Yearbook Pictures - Due April 7th | |  Article SubheadingThere are only 3 weeks left to submit pictures for the 2012-13 Holmes Yearbook. Only half of the classrooms have yearbook pictures! Please upload pictures that you have taken for the current school year (class parties, field trips, or any other Holmes event) by April 7th. Click on "Login" in the upper right hand corner Enter your email address to Login Password: photos Click on "Images" at the top of the screen On the left hand side, you will see a list of picture folders by teacher name. Please upload your photos into your child's classroom folder! Cell phone picture resolution needs to be at least 300 dpi or 1200 x 1800 ppi. If you have not uploaded photos before, please contact Amy Lisson at KLisson@san.rr.com for password set up. |
| Clairemont Fast Times 5K - April 21st | |  Article SubheadingRegister now for the Fast Times 5K Race/Walk on Sunday, April 21st. SDUSD parents and students may sign-up for only $25 and $15 respectively until March 21st! A 2 for 1 adult special is also available until March 24th.
