to be recognized at the Founders Day Dance. If you know someone who has made a significant contribution to our school through their volunteer efforts, let us know. Simply download and return the Nomination Form and tell us why you think this person is deserving of the award.

Family Friday - Feb 1st

Our next Family Friday will be on Friday, Feb 1st. Parents are invited to meet with Principal, Jonathan Saipe, in the auditorium at 9:10-9:45am. Come get updates about district and school news, learn a simple yet effective reading strategy, and have an opportunity to share ideas on how to make Holmes an even better school.
From approximately 9:45-10:15am parents are invited to their child's classroom to read or participate in a learning activity. The Holmes PTA will provide Starbucks Coffee.

| Box Tops - Deadline Feb 15th | |  Article SubheadingAre you collecting your Box Tops? This is a FREE and easy way to support our school. So far, we've earned $1,224 toward our $2,000 goal. Our submission deadline to count for this school year is Friday, Feb 15th!
Help us meet our goal! Simply clip and return the pink Box Tops from participating products you buy every day. Turn them into your child's teacher - the top 3 classrooms with the most Box Tops collected at the end of the year will earn a free popcorn party! | Founders Day Wish List | |  Article SubheadingThe Founders Day Committee is in need of the following items to be donated or purchased at a discount for the Founder's Day Celebration on March 1st:
Floral - Red roses or similar
Linens - Blue, gold, or white cloth table linens
Helium - to blow up balloons we already have

| 5th Grade Coffee Chat - Feb 6th & 11th | |  Article SubheadingParents of 5th Graders are invited to come learn about the 5th grade transition from Holmes to Marston Middle for 6th grade. This will be an informal gathering where parents can chat and openly ask questions from current Marston families who graduated from Holmes.

| School Tour - Feb 8th | |  Article SubheadingWe will have a final School Tour on Friday, February 8th for families interested in attending Holmes. The tour will begin with an orientation in the Auditorium at 9:00am followed by visits to the classrooms.

| Holmes Yearbook - Request for Photos | |  Article Subheading
The yearbook team is working on the 2012-2013 yearbook. We need your help in uploading pictures to the yearbook website. Please submit any grade level/classroom pictures that you have taken for the 2012-2013 school year (class parties, field trips, or any other Holmes related event).
If you have uploaded pictures in previous years, your login information is already saved on the website:

Click on "Images"
On the left hand side, you will see a list of folders by teacher name. Please upload your photos into your child's class folder. (Please note that when using cell phone pictures, the picture needs to be a resolution of at least 300 dpi or 1200 x 1800 ppi.)
