From 9:45-10:15am parents are invited to their child's classroom to read or participate in a learning activity. The Holmes PTA will provide Starbucks Coffee.

| Student Recognition Assemblies - Jan 17th & 18th | |

Our next student recognition assemblies will take place next week. NOTE the new times for the first assemblies:
Jan 17th at 1:45pm - K & 1st Grade
Jan 17th at 2:45pm - 4-6th Grades
Jan 18th at 2:30pm - 2 & 3rd Grades
If your child is being recognized, we hope you can attend. Students take pleasure in sharing this time with their families. Honorees are encouraged to contribute a refreshment for the reception that follows the assembly.
Two to three volunteers are needed to help serve refreshments. If you can help out at any or all of the assemblies, please contact Christine Groves at 619-723-9542 or email christine.groves@holmespta.org |

The Holmes PTA will host its 7th Annual HERO Run on March 28, 2013. To learn more about how you can participate in this premier community event that promotes fitness, wellness and active families, please visit the HERO Run Web Page at www.holmespta.org/hero_run.

You can have a tremendous impact on the future of our PTA - consider being on the Nominating Committee! PTA members will elect a new Nominating Committee at the January 24th PTA Association meeting. The purpose of the nominating committee is to select the best-qualified people to fill the elected PTA Board positions for 2013-2014.
We need 3 members and 2 alternates to make up the committee. All candidates must be PTA members. If interested, please contact the PTA Parliamentarian, Arlyn Engebretson at arlyn.engebretson@holmespta.org.
