| Holiday Program - Dec 20th | |  Article SubheadingOur Annual Holmes Holiday Program has finally arrived! It will be held tonight - Thursday, Dec 20th from 6:00-8:00pm in the Holmes Auditorium. There will be additional viewing on a movie screen in the lunch court, as well as video streaming in Rooms 4, 5, and 11. The Holmes PTA will be selling refreshments in Room 4 during intermission.

| Lost & Found | |  Article SubheadingPlease be sure to stop by the Lost and Found located next to the lunch courtyard to retrieve any lost items by Friday, December 21st. We will be donating any unclaimed items over the winter break. LOST! A triangular shaped pendant with a gold backing. The pendant's stone is an Australian Opal in multi-colored dark greens and blues. If found, please turn it in to the school office. |
| Winter Break - Dec 24th | |  Article SubheadingSchool will be closed for Winter Break on December 24th - January 4th. It will reopen on Monday, January 7, 2013. We hope you enjoy this special time off with your family and friends. |
| Recycling Contest Results | |  Article SubheadingThank you for all your recycled ink cartridges, cell phones, DVDs, etc. Although our contest is over, we will continue to recycle all year long. Congratulations to our winning classroom - Room 11, Mrs. McTaggart's 5th Grade class. They were credited with 234 points and will be rewarded $50! The competition was very close. Other top collecting classrooms included: Mrs. Celle, Ms. Muller, Mrs. Loebig and Ms. Jaimes' classes. |

| Nominating Committee | |  Article Subheading
PTA members will elect a new Nominating Committee at the January 24th PTA Association meeting. The purpose of the nominating committee is to select the best-qualified people to fill the elected PTA Board positions for 2013-2014.
We need three members and two alternates to make up the committee. All candidates must be PTA members. If interested, please contact the PTA Parliamentarian, Arlyn Engebretson at arlyn.engebretson@holmespta.org.
