Pick up Fundraising Items - Nov 15th

If you purchased or sold items for our Fall Fundraiser, they will be available for Pick Up in the auditorium on Thursday, November 15th from 12:30pm to 2:00pm. Remember some of these items are perishable and can not be left at school.
The PTA extends a special Thank You to those of you who helped make our Fall Fundraiser such a success. The $12,700 raised is helping to fund our new music teacher, buy arts attack supplies and give classroom support money to the teachers. Thank you!!

| Parent /Teacher Conferences - Nov 13-16 | |
 Article SubheadingParent-Teacher Conferences are being held this week November 13-16th. Conferences are a dedicated time for you to discuss the academic and social progress of your child with his/her teacher. Information on how to make your conference as effective as possible is posted on the Holmes Web Site. Be sure to set up a conference with your child's teacher if you have not yet done so!
PLEASE NOTE: there is an early 1:15pm dismissal every day during Conference week. |
| Thanksgiving Holiday - No School Nov 19-23 | |
 Article SubheadingAll San Diego Unified schools and offices will be CLOSED November 19th-23rd for Thanksgiving Break. Schools and SDUSD facilities will reopen on Monday, Nov. 26. Enjoy this time with your family! |
| Bus Evacuation Drill - Nov 26th | |
 Article SubheadingStudents will take part in a Bus Safety and Evacuation Drill on Monday, November 26th from 9am - 12pm. | Free Movie Night - Nov 30th | |
 Article SubheadingBring your blankets, low chairs and friends for a FREE movie night in the Holmes Auditorium on Friday, November 30th. Hot dogs, candy, chips, popcorn and drinks (including Jamba Juice), will be available for purchase.
The movie will be Madagascar 3 and will start at 6:30pm. Be sure to mark your calendars, you don't want to miss the fun!

| Recycling Contest - Started Nov 5th | |
 Article SubheadingWe're collecting more than used ink cartridges and cell phones this year. Please send those items in, as well as, video games/systems, DVD movies, old laptops, digital cameras, GPS systems and iPods. We're collecting it all! Be sure to mark your items with your child's room number. The contest runs November 5th through December 7th. The winning class will receive a $50 check to spend as it chooses. |

| Garden Volunteers Needed | |
