| School Picture Day - Oct 18th | | SubheadingAll students will have their picture taken in school today, Thursday, October 18th. Payment is not needed beforehand and proofs will be sent home within the week. Picture make-up day will be on October 25th for students who are absent. |
Mileage Club Token Day - Oct 18th
| | Article SubheadingThere will be NO Mileage Club on Thursday, October 18th due to picture day. However, tokens will be awarded in the lunch courtyard beginning at 8:40am.

Spirit Wear - Orders Due Oct 19th
| | Every Friday is Holmes Spirit Day! But you can show your school spirit by wearing your Holmes T Shirts or Sweatshirts on any day or at any school event. Check out the new designs and the new lower prices for 2012-2013.

Red Ribbon Week - Starts Oct 22nd
| | Article SubheadingRed Ribbon Week is October 22nd-26th. This week is dedicated to drug education and prevention.
Our theme is Stop-Think-Go
- Stop before making a bad choice
- Think about making the best choices
- Go with making good, healthy choices Show your spirit on Thursday, October 27th with "Red-to-Toe!" or "OMGreen!" dress theme for the day. Wear as much red or green as possible-including hair, shoes, backpacks. The campus will be decorated in red, yellow and green colors and high school drama students will perform in a Red Ribbon assembly on Friday, October 26th. |

Kids News Day - Oct 23rd

Kid's News Day is Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Girl Scout troop 3338 will be selling a special edition newspaper before school. Bring $1.00 to school with you on Tuesday, October 23rd to buy a newspaper. All proceeds go directly to Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego.

Halloween Carnival - Saturday, Oct 27th

| The Halloween Carnival is on Saturday, October 27th from 11am-4pm. There
will be plenty of games, prizes, crafts, food and FUN! Discounted presale tickets will be available before and after school on Wed., Thurs., and Fri. the week of Oct. 22nd. Halloween Carnival - Volunteers Needed!

FINAL WEEK OF PLANNING FOR THE HOLMES HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL! PARENT VOLUNTEERS ARE DESPERATELY NEEDED!!
Please sign up at your child's classroom or return the orange sign-up sheet that was sent home to work a 1-hr shift at the Carnival or e-mail kcrc@san.rr.com. Without parent volunteers to help run game booths, there will be fewer games for the children to enjoy. Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who have already signed up to help.

| Lost & Found | | Article SubheadingHave you checked out the Lost & Found lately? Students' clothing and lunch items that have been left behind can be found in the Lost & Found in the lunch courtyard area.
If you are missing more valuable items such as jewelry, watches, glasses, sunglasses, phones or other small items, they would be turned in to the Lost & Found in the Office. Please stop by the Office between 8:30am - 4:00pm to retrieve them. |
