NAR Board Actions from New Orleans

Included was the drafting of a proposed aspirational Code of Excellence to be brought to the board at a future meeting for approval. The goal of the recommendations is to raise the practice of real estate measurably through increased training in the competencies that consumers value. Thanks to everyone who supported RPAC in 2014
For all the members who gave to RPAC over the past year or served as an RPAC Trustee, thank you for your support. Whether you gave $1 or became a major investor, your contribution has helped elect pro-REALTOR® candidates across the United States. The purpose of RPAC is clear: REALTORS® raise and spend money to elect candidates who understand and support their interests. The money to accomplish this comes from voluntary contributions made by REALTORS®. These are not members' dues; this is money given freely by REALTORS® in recognition of how important campaign fundraising is to the political process. If you would like to invest in RPAC, you can do so here. Note: current contributions will be credited toward 2015 totals.

The focus begins on protecting crucial tax benefits for home ownership and keeping sales tax on services from being placed on the transfer of property. Next to education, I think investing in RPAC is the most important thing
a REALTOR can do to enhance this profession. We have proposed legislation at every level - local, state and national - which has an impact on our industry and our ability to have a successful career. It is important that REALTORS have a voice and get our message out to policy makers regarding our issues and concerns. RPAC gives us the ability to interact with legislators, help develop housing policy and educate the public about what we do to protect their interest. Real estate issues go beyond us personally and have a direct impact on the consumer. Our message needs an outlet and RPAC is the vehicle to get that done.

Broker had had represented Client in the purchase of the First Property ten years prior. Read More
