In the spring of 2005, National Geographic photographer James Balog headed to the Arctic on a tricky assignment: to capture images to help tell the story of the Earth's changing climate. Even with a scientific upbringing, Balog had been a skeptic about climate change and a cynic about the nature of academic research. But that first trip north opened his eyes to the biggest story in human history and sparked a challenge within him that would put his career and his very well-being at risk.

Shoulder Tension Intervention
with Amanda Tripp

Saturday, May 11
11am - 1pm

The events of everyday living can be enough to leave your shoulders feeling tense and knotted. Repetitive movements (such as typing or mousing at the computer) can create imbalances in and around the shoulders - and so many Yoga postures require the shoulders to be strong, flexible and balanced. This workshop will guide you through playful and challenging techniques that will help you deal with shoulder tension, create spaciousness in the shoulder joint, increase your range of movement and show you how to align yourself with consistent precision.

Begin the journey to strong and supple shoulders with this accessible workshop that's appropriate for all experience levels.
