My War On Cancer
Part 4 - Chronic Infections
Many studies have demonstrated the presence of chronic infections and underlying immune dysfunction. Some examples include: Borrelia Burgdorfi causing Lyme's disease, Ebstein Barr Virus causing mononucleosis, herpetic infections, Mycoplasma infection causing Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and/or a chronic dental condition causing a chronic infection.
Many patients do not recall their acute infection or had such mild, barely noticeable symptoms and therefore do not realize that they have a chronic infection. Symptoms that can arise from a chronic infection can include: intermittent fevers and chills, fatigue, headaches, joint pain, neurological changes, digestive issues, and even cancer. There are specialty labs to help uncover whether you may have a chronic infection. These labs are typically not covered by insurance, and require a specialized provider to interpret the findings and implement the proper treatment program.
The providers at CCFM can work with you to discover hidden infections and help restore normal immune function and help alleviate many undesirable symptoms.
Should you have any questions and/or want to inquire about which specialized labs are best for you, contact our office to schedule your appointment.
